The Withlacoochee Trail: Trilby/Citrus Springs Area
Looking for
a good place to ride during the cold days of winter?
Try this 46-mile asphalt rail trail between Citrus
Springs and Trilby, which is just north of Dade City.
This trail is the kind we like best - one
that goes through unpopulated back country, through
both swamp and farm areas.
The Spring 2000 edition of the Rails to Trails magazine
has a fantastic feature on this trail entitled Undiscovered
Florida. It does the trail justice!
Trailheads are located in Citrus Springs (where there are two),
Inverness, Floral City, Istachatta, Ridge Manor and Trilby.
