Virginia has 20 rail trails totaling 183 miles. Three of them, listed above, are outstanding. The Mount Vernon Trail is not a rail trail. There are many more heavily used greenway-type trails in and around Washington, DC. They also report 29 trail projects that will add 347 miles. Great!!
