We really enjoy the old iron rail road bridges. 
This lovely little lady is Mrs. Turner. She's in her 90's, and still runs Turner's Store in Tebbetts. You can buy snacks, cold sandwiches, etc. there, and if you are not in a hurry Mrs. Turner will tell you about Tebbetts' history back to the early 1900s. Her store was once a bank. In fact, you'll see the old bank vault right there in the store. |
The bluffs are beautiful along the river. 
Another thing we really enjoy is the farms along the trail. We had always wanted to see someone harvesting corn, so you can imagine how excited we were to see this process right along the trail! 
How do you like this jail? Bet crime would drop if it was still used ... sure lacks all the comforts of home. I believe this was in Portland. We hope they keep it as a historical site. |
