Cedar Valley Nature Trail — Cedar Rapids/Waterloo River Trail — Sioux City Three-Rivers Trail — Eagle Grove to Rolfe Wabash Trace Nature Trail — Council Bluffs Area Iowa has 53 trails totaling 538 miles; old railroad beds turned into trails that go for miles through farm land (lots and lots of corn fields!), by large cattle farms, and through small mid-Western towns. Lets you imagine for a few hours that time has been standing still! They also have 37 trail projects planning 720 additional miles. This is progress!
