Great Bicycle Trails

Riding on the Kane County Forest Preserve's
Fox River Trail

The Fox River Trail runs 33-miles. The surface is asphalt on some sections and crushed stone on others. It connects with the 55 mile Illinois Prairie Path. Both are rail trails.

The Fox River Trail's end points are Aurora and Crystal Lake and the Illinois Prairie Path's end points are Maywood to Wheaton with spurs to Aurora, Batavia, Elgin and Geneva.

These are heavily used trails that go through small towns, parks and urban housing areas. If you are in these Chicago suburbs and have your bike along, take advantage of them. You'll be glad you did.
